The "Baby Boomer" generation is considered to be those born between 1946 and 1964. I believe our generation can be summarized in this way:
We grew up during a time of idealism with television and a
car for every suburban home. Our generation also grew up feeling liberated; however,
disillusionment set in with major events such as the assassination of JFK, the
Vietnam War, Watergate and an increase in divorce rates.
Our core values are: Anything is possible, Equal opportunity
for all, Question Authority, and Personal Gratification is important. Within
our work we endeavored to climb the corporate ladder and family time became not
the first thing on the list. Our financial approach became, buy now and pay
later as credit card debt began to increase.
